JioHotstar is the new streaming platform from JioStar, after its merger with JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar. The new OTT platform JioHotstar has been launched on February 14, 2025. If you are an existing user or subscriber of either JioCinema or Disney+Hotstar, here is what you need to know:
What happens to existing Disney + Hotstar & Jio Cinema platforms’ active users?
Disney+ Hotstar Users: You can easily transition to JioHotstar without any problem accessing the content. Existing plans remain active until expiry. For example, if your plan is valid until April 2025, it continues as is.
JioCinema Users: You will be automatically upgraded to Premium access. Current subscribers on the ₹29/month plan receive a 3-month extension, verified across multiple accounts.
