One of the highly watched reality shows of India is the Bigg Boss Hindi hosted by popular Bollywood Star Salman Khan is now telecasted for its 18th season. The show is seen by millions across platforms and is off to a great start.
Bigg Boss 18 with its grandeur and contestants from various walks of life has been the talk of the town for the past week. The show hosted by Salman Khan was especially preferred by fans as the premiere episode and has started to be a big competitor for the daily soaps.
The premiere episode garnered such attraction that Bigg Boss 18 reportedly surged a 2.3 TRP on the first day, equalling a celebrated serial Anupama’s TRP according to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC).
Anupama starring Rupali Ganguly is a fan favourite and is a long running serial with the highest TRP for a while. This feat is no small one as daily soaps are telecasted for all of six days and set a TRP while Bigg Boss 18 simply attained the status in one single day.
The achievement is clearly a combination of the stars’ fan bases from the vital and huge fans of the host, Salman Khan to some of the most watched faces in TV like Vivian Dsena, Chahat Pandey, Alice Kaushik and many more.
The glory ended after a day as Bigg Boss 18 weekdays reportedly has stooped to a 1.5 TRP as expected but maintains the average too. The reality show has been around for a while with fans supporting some of their favourite stars in the show and some are expected to join the Bigg Boss clan.
Many fans eagerly await for the day their favourite actors and actresses to step into the Bigg Boss house like Vivian Dsena, whose impressive TV career from Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki and many more. His entry this season alongside the first Tamil celebrity in the history of Bigg Boss, Shrutika Arjun whose humorous antics and candidness have largely contributed for the TRP.
