Grammy recipients Coldplay are bringing their critically acclaimed Music of the Spheres global tour to India in January 2025. The British band has added spectacular concerts in Mumbai on January 18, 19 and 21 at the DY Patil Stadium.
Coming after the sellout success of Coldplay’s Summer 2024 European stadium concerts, the Indian leg promises an unforgettable experience full of mesmerising lights, pyrotechnics and larger-than-life performances.
Coldplay Mumbai concert: Reaching DY Patil Stadium
1. By car
If you are planning to book a cab or take your car to Coldplay Mumbai concerts at DY Patil Stadium, remember that Mumbai traffic can be particularly challenging around major concerts. Therefore, plan ahead and keep some things in mind, such as
– Keep monitoring Google Maps for real-time traffic updates throughout your journey. This is going to help you keep an eye on congestion.
– For those taking their personal cars to the stadium, dome parking facilities are accessible. But these spaces are going to be filled up really quickly. So try to keep a backup parking plan.
– if you are thinking of booking a cab, expect to be dropped off at some distance from the actual destination. Put on comfortable shoes to keep discomfort at bay.
2. Special trains
Coldplay Mumbai concert organisers are planning a super special train for all the fans. Running on January 18, 19 and 21, this train starts at 2 pm from Goregaon, going through Andheri, Bandra, Chembur and Juinagar to reach Nerul.
The return journey starts at 11 pm from Nerul to Goregaon, going through all the other four stations. Since this is a special train, the seats are going to be as limited as the tickets to the actual Coldplay concert. So book yours as soon as possible.
The train tickets are priced at flat Rs 500 for both sides of the journey. Concert-goers can board the special train from any station along the route. The exact halt timings shall be communicated closer to the concert dates.
Fans entering from Main Gate, Gates 2-5: alight at Juinagar Station
Fans entering from Gates 6-9: alight at Nerul Station
Once you reach the Nerul Station, you can find a study stream of autos ready to ferry you to the DY Patil Stadium. This final leg of the journey is estimated to take 10-15 minutes. Ultimately, it all depends on traffic conditions.

– To account for unexpected delays, it is recommended that you set out hours before the concert.
– Keep your mobile phone fully charged
– Stay hydrated
– Keep your tickets and identification cards at safe places on you
– Note the exact location of DY Patil Stadium on your phone beforehand
– Check if you can carry essential medications
– Put on comfortable shoes to dance under a sky full of stars
Coldplay adds more tickets to Narendra Modi Stadium
In a special update, the British band has added more tickets to its upcoming concerts on January 25-26 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. These limited tickets shall go on sale at 6 pm IST and you can start entering the queue at 5 pm. Each user can purchase a maximum of 4 tickets per transaction.
