Marvel Studios has made a huge announcement. The first teaser for ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ has been released and the clip is going viral for all the right reasons. Fans had been eagerly anticipating the MCU debut of Marvel’s First Family.
Starring Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing), the upcoming film promises to be a big hit.
‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’: Release Date
The filming for ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ happened last year. It has been directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision) and written by Ric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Ian Springer and Jeff Kalpan. Kevin Feige is producing for Marvel Studios.
The upcoming superhero release is set in a retro-futuristic 1960s Manhattan, marking a departure from the MCU’s modern timeline. This probably explains the reason behind The Fantastic Four not appearing in previous Marvel films.
Past iterations of the Fantastic Four have received mixed reactions. But it is expected that the latest adaptation from Marvel is going to do justice to the iconic superheroes. ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ is releasing in theaters on July 25.

Ralph Ineson has secured a major role in ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’. He is going to play the character Galactus or the main villain in the project. RD JR is also returning to the MCU – but as Victor Von Doom or Dr Doom. He, nonetheless, may not appear in this film.
The Fantastic Four is Marvel’s First Family: Reason
The announcement of ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ represents a huge moment. Despite being the team that kicked off the current generation of superhero comics, the Fantastic Four has had poor luck outside of comic books.
Spearheaded by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the Fantastic Four are more than just superheroes. They are the first family of the Marvel Universe. Reed Richards, Ben Grimm, Sue Storm and Johnny Storm did not have their superhuman capabilities from the beginning.
The Fantastic Four: Plot Explained
The genius of them all, Reed Richards is passionate about space exploration. During his time in college, he told his friend Ben about his dream. In turn, the latter had promised to fly any spaceship created by Reed.
Sue Storm, on the other hand, met Reed for the first time as he stayed as a house guest of her aunt. Through Sue, Reed came across her brother, Johnny. But the four of them had yet to become the Fantastic Four.
Years later, Reed Richards finally secured enough federal funding for a spaceship that could potentially make interstellar travel possible for humanity. But things started to turn south as the government pulled its funding at the last minute.
Desperate to test the spaceship before it gets dismantled, Reed, Ben, Sue and Johnny break into the official facility and launch an unauthorised flight. Their mission started to look successful, but some time later, the ship could not shield cosmic radiation.
The vessel crashed back into Earth. The four are alive, fortunately. But they are not the same anymore. The Fantastic Four had entered the scene. The group is looking at some serious superhuman capabilities.
Introducing Original Members of the Fantastic Four
1. Reed Richards as Mr Fantastic
Reed Richards is a genius scientist and often hailed as the smartest man in the Marvel Universe. The spaceship crash offered him the ability to elongate his body, initially just as simple shapes but later into more complex figures, or even changing his face for a disguise.
2. Sue Storm as Invisible Woman
Sue Storm declared herself the Invisible Girl as she noted the ability to turn herself invisible and project forcefields. She is significantly younger than her future husband Reed. Her transformation from Invisible Girl to Invisible Woman is notable.
3. Johnny Storm as Human Torch
The crash brought Johnny Storm the capability to engulf his body in flame and fly. In the subsequent days, he started to make sense of his strength and gained a true mastery over flame. He is a hothead but has a heart of gold.
4. Ben Grimm as The Thing
Ben Grimm piloted the spaceship. But after the crash, it seems he took the brunt of the impact. Ben’s body has turned into a rock-skinned creature. But fans love and adore him. He has superhuman strength and the battle cry and catchphrase “It’s clobberin’ time!”
