In addition to the final weddings’ episodes where we get to see who says yes to a happily ever after and who says no, to walk away forever, the most awaited episode in every Love Is Blind season is the reunion, hands down! Wouldn’t you agree? Everyone was waiting with bated breath for Season 8’s reunion episode, to get all their answers to several unanswered questions- Is David regretting breaking it off with Lauren? Did Sara and Ben date after the wedding? Where do Joey and Monica stand now? What’s happening with the whole- Madison-Megan-Mason drama? Did Virginia string Devin all along? Are Daniel and Taylor still together?

We did get clarity but not without some drama, just how we like it! Here are all the jaw-dropping moments from the reunion episode:
1. Joey sliding into another LIB cast member’s DMs
In our previous article, we had predicted that Joey and Monica won’t be saying yes to one another and that’s exactly what happened. We weren’t the least bit surprised, considering the two were caught in a ‘friendzone’ limbo for a long time. But what we weren’t prepared for was the truth bomb that was dropped by Monica during this episode. She claimed that while they were engaged, Joey slid into Madison’s DMs and flirted with her! He complimented her on her pink hair and said that it’s “too bad” that they couldn’t talk more. Ummmm, shady much? Madison being the girl’s girl that she is, was upfront with Monica about the message and claimed that she didn’t entertain him. What’s worse is that Joey lied and told Monica that Madison was coming onto him at a bar! Whaaaat! All of these claims were refuted by Madison and she put the spotlight back on Joey, questioning him for all the lies. And no surprises there, Joey had no defense. Well, that’s what happens when you lie, Joey! Hats off to Madison for speaking her truth and to Monica for no longer protecting someone who wasn’t in on this to love and accept her the way she deserves to be. And Joey…we hope you grow from this!
2. Madison brings out the screenshots
Madison had come to this reunion all guns blazing! The hottie had her defense ready and that too with proof. All the LIB lovers know that in the pods, there was intense drama involving the “M” gang- Madison, Meg and Mason (a good tongue twister, this one!) Madison was dating Alex and Mason, while the latter was exploring things with her and Meg. It was clear that Madison was head over heels for Alex, while Mason seemed to be leaning more towards her over Meg. He even “committed” to her in the pods and later claimed that while he did that, he didn’t really fully mean it, which greatly irked Madison.
21 Shows You Should Not Miss If You Watch “Love is Blind”Mason later revealed in the reunion that he was “pressured to commit” as he got no reassurance and validation from Megan. He also claimed that she came across as manipulative and strung both him and Alex along, and had no right to get so upset when Mason spoke the truth about his commitment stint. Because all along, she was into Alex. Madison defended herself saying that the pods are a very confusing space as everyone is dealing with multiple emotions and trying to figure out who they want to pick. She said that she was never manipulative and was only trying to make the right decision for herself. Alex jumped on the bandwagon and declared Madison as manipulative. That’s when shots were fired by Madison who whipped out screenshots of her chat with Alex, claiming that he is a liar and is no friend to Meg and Mason, as he openly bitches about them! She said she is “tired” of Alex’s lies and constantly having to defend herself and be proven wrong when in fact she isn’t.
We love that Madison took a stand for herself and brought out evidence against Alex, who clearly had been playing safe all along. You go, girl!
3. Virginia finds a note from Devin’s ex-girlfriend on his nightstand
Virginia rejecting Devin at the altar was an absolutely shocking moment for all of us and Devin too. He broke down and later said that he never expected that. Well, same here Devin. In that episode, Virginia during her personal interview with the crew, claimed that she and Devin were never fully aligned on their political views. Additionally, she also pointed out that there was a lack of trust as she never heard from Devin about the extra cash that he had received from a relative to spend on the wedding.
During the reunion, Virginia spoke more about the reason why she said no. She revealed that prior to the wedding day, she found a note from his ex-girlfriend on his nightstand and had no idea that they had hung out. To this, Devin said that he doesn’t see her as an ex but more as a very dear friend. About the money, Devin claimed that he never meant to “hide” the cash received from Virgina but it was more as an expense that he would bring up later with Virginia when they would start their life together.
In our opinion, while Devin did slip up, so did Virgina. She tried to paint him as the bad guy during the reunion, but honestly girl, you messed up too. Why not raise these concerns before saying no to him at the altar? Why string him along right till the end, only to reject him? We feel she could have been more forthright about her fears and kept Devin in the know about her decision.
These three were the top dramatic moments from the reunion episode. As for Lauren and Dave, the latter apologized to her for not giving her a chance and for letting others control his judgement of her. Sara and Ben on the other hand were a snoozefest, with her claiming that when the two tried to make things work post the wedding, the latter isolated her by cutting her off. Honestly, we are so bored and done with these two. Lastly, Daniel and Taylore- the only couple to get married in LIB season 8- are still very much together and continue to make us believe in the power and beauty of love!
