Gal Gadot has made history as the first Israeli actress to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She was honored at a ceremony on Tuesday where she proudly spoke about her Israeli roots and even included some Hebrew in her speech.
Gadot shared how she came from a small town in Israel and reached this far in her life. She motivated young girls to believe in their dreams and explained how anything in life is possible through her career example. She also sent a heartfelt message in Hebrew to her family back home, telling them she loves them.
For the unversed, the Wonder Woman movie star attended the event with her husband Jaron Varsano, and their four daughters. She joked about balancing her career and family by noting how whenever she became successful, she always got pregnant and the need to ground herself. She also told her daughters that being their mother is the greatest privilege of her life.

While Gadot is the first Israeli actor to receive a star, producer Haim Saban was the first Israeli honored with one in 2017. Her star is the 2,804th on the Walk of Fame. The ceremony took place just before the release of Disney’s live-action “Snow White,” in which Gadot plays the Evil Queen. The event also saw protests from pro-Palestinian activists and counter-protests from pro-Israel supporters.
