UK’s very own BBC Radio 1 has announced their 2025 Big Weekend music festival to happen in May 2025. The exciting Music Festival is held annually across the UK, with multiple artists from the country and internationally selected by the BBC Radio 1 team. Sam Fender is headlining the event which was shared by BBC Host Greg James who revealed the location in his Breakfast Show on Tuesday.

Where is BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend 2025 happening?
Headliner Sam Fender took it to his Instagram sharing that this year’s BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend is set in Liverpool along with his excitement of performing at the Sefton Park, South of the city.
The city has a rich history of producing some of the popular musical talents while also hosting other music festivals Africa Oye, Liverpool International Music Festival and others.
When is BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend 2025 happening?
BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend 2025 is planned on May 23 till May 25, covering the weekend with magical music events.

Artists playing in BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend 2025
Artist Sam Fender who is freshly basking in the success of his recent album ‘People Watching’ is headlining the fest while artists like Wet Leg, Blossoms, Lola Young, Myles Smith are roped in to perform at the awaited music festival. Emerging artists and other popular performers from around the world will be present and perform around 100 events in the weekend in four stages.
The Fill lineup of artists will be announced in the coming months in the official social media pages of BBC Radio 1.
How to grab your Tickets?
Tickets have been given out for free in the past until 2018 where a minimum amount was charged for the bookings. Usually the Online Portals holding the tickets fill up within minutes of opening. Bookings are also reserved randomly after registering in the official BBC Radio 1 website.
Now the tickets are booked based on the postcodes as the majority of the tickets are allotted for the locals and the applications are split into ‘Local Postcodes’ and ‘Other Postcodes’.
