Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur starrer family drama movie Family Star is facing a decline in India. As per reports the film earned Rs.1.1 Crore on Wednesday. Family Star is directed by Parasuram Petla and has raked Rs. 17.14 Crores in Tamil and Telugu in India.
According to the reports, Family Star had a strong start on its opening day by earning Rs.5.75 Crores in India. On the following day, the earnings decreased by Rs.3.45. On Day 3 the earning was reduced to Rs.3.1 Crore and 1.3 Crore on Day 4 and by the 5th Day, the movie collected a total of Rs.2.5 Crores.
A Glimpse of Family Star Movie Storyline
Directed by Parasuram Petla and produced by Dil Raju, Family Star is a family drama movie and the debut collaboration of Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur. Alongside these two actors, the movie includes Abhinaya, Ravi Babu, Rohini Hattangadi and Vasuki. The movie was released to watch in theaters on 5 April 2024.
In this movie, Vijay Deverakonda is playing the character of Govardhan Rao who takes care of the family affairs despite being the youngest in the family. He carefully manages the expenses of the house until the Indu character portrayed by Mrunal Thakur enters his life and rents a part of his house which leads to unexpected twists and turns in Govardhan’s life.

The performances of the star cast are commendable. Vijay Deverakonda nicely portrayed the character of Govardhan, a middle-class man, and his emotions and thoughts were relatable which made his performance more entertaining. Mrunal Thakur also played her character effectively which adds to the beauty of the movie. The sparking on-screen chemistry between Mrunal and Vijay won many hearts.
The movie fails to evoke emotions and leave a lasting impression on the audience. The movie could have been more appealing.
