The Hindi historical action film Chhaava was released in theatres on 14th February 2025. The film tells the story of Maratha king Sambhaji Maharaj. It features Vicky Kaushal in the lead, and the movie is based on Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel Chhava. Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna. The film is made on a budget of Rs. 130 crore and is expected to create a historical epic roar at the box office.
The movie’s powerful dialogue has hooked the audience to the core: “Yeh sher Shiva ka chhaava shor nahin karta, seedha shikaar karta hai.” (This lion, the son of Shiva, doesn’t roar- he strikes directly)
