AR Rahman unveils the Bharat Maestro Awards to honor the contribution of Indian Classical Music in Indian Cinema:

In a recent development, the ‘Nadaan Parinde’ hitmaker AR Rahman and the KM Music Conservatory have ended the long anticipation and finally disclosed all the details about the Bharat Maestro Awards, a brand-new initiative spearheaded by Rahman in association with his musical institute, which aspires to celebrate Indian classical music and its practitioners.

Taking to his official X handle, Rahman posted about the exciting update of officially launching the Bharat Maestro Awards through his Tweet post on X. Opening up on how these awards are a step towards celebrating the timeless and unforgettable impact and contribution of Indian classical music within the kaleidoscopic Indian cinema within past many years, his tweet post caption read, “Honored to announce the launch of the #BharatMaestroAwards, celebrating the timeless art of Indian classical music. Together, we honor bright talents, educators, and regional pioneers who keep this rich legacy alive. Let’s connect past, present, and future through the universal language of music.”

About the Bharat Maestro Awards categories:

The awards program features three unique categories: Four awards for rising and upcoming young singers and musicians, a Lifetime Achievement recognition for classical musical educators, and a State Medallion acknowledging Regional contributions to Classical Music preservation.

About the AR Rahman founded Bharat Maestro Awards Musical Mentor Panel which will moderate:

The mentor panel includes several globally renowned Indian musicians like Asha Bhosle, Amjad Ali Khan, Bombay Jayashri, and Ajoy Chakrabarty. The advisory board comprises Ila Paliwal, Sai Shravanam, Bharat Bala, Fathima Rafiq, Khatija Rahman, Adam Greig, and Clint Valladares.

Award recipients will be awarded cash prizes and will have a golden chance and an opportunity to perform internationally, including some exciting collaborations with Rahman.
